Chrome extensions cannot inspect copy events from browser UI, DevTools, native applications, or some built-in document viewers.

Entropy heuristics are conservative but can still produce false positives; users can cancel, explicitly override, or configure Pro allowlists.

JavaScript strings cannot be cryptographically zeroized, so Copy Canary minimizes value lifetimes and never persists selections.

Central license validation requires occasional network access; a bounded grace period applies only to network or service failures.
